data-mm-id=”_i40b85m1i”>The Stanford Cardinal will head east to face the Syracuse Orange in an ACC matchup at the JMA Wireless Dome. With kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET, this marks Stanford’s first-ever ACC conference game after their big move from the Pac-12. Stanford may be new to the ACC but they sure aren't playing like it, in their season opener they went toe to toe with TCU, only falling in a 34-27 loss. They bounced back with a 41-7 win over Cal Poly and will look for an upset against the Orange on Friday.Syracuse has had a nice start to the season after knocking off Ohio 38-22 in Week 1 and a 31-28 win over Georgia Tech two weeks ago. Quarterback Kyle McCord has led the way for the Orange, completing 69.4% of his passes, throwing for 735 yards, 8 touchdowns, and just 1 int…
The most important thing at the start of the day was that Manchester United joined Manchester City in that second Manchester derby on the bounce at Wembley in a few weeks, Neville told Sky Sports.
It’s unbelievable really – this team never cease to amaze you with the things they’re not capable of.
I’m confused, not knowing what stage of the journey we’re on and what the idea is in terms of style of play. We still don’t know where we’re going and we’ve had this before in the last 10, 12 years. If you think what INEOS have done since they came in, they’ve essentially wiped out the whole top of the club. If they thought anything there was worth keeping, they would have kept it.
They’ll make the decision on the manager and the players at…
Chelsea backed up their comfortable midweek win over Tottenham with an emphatic 5-0 victory at home to London rivals West Ham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have now scored 22 times in their last six Premier League games at Stamford Bridge, and here there was a fluency to their attacking play that could well have yielded substantially more than the five they put past the hapless visitors.
Chelsea were three up at the break. First, Cole Palmer netted the 21st league goal of his debut season in west London, steering a loose ball into the corner, then Conor Gallagher volleyed home.
Noni Madueke headed the third near the end of an excellent first half, before Nicolas Jackson took his tally for the season to 13 in the league with a brace after the interval.

Paul Merson has encouraged Arsenal to raid Newcastle United in the summer as one signing would take the Gunners to another level .
The Gunners have kicked on after falling apart during last season s run-in as they have taken the Premier League title race to the final day.
I think they go to another level
Arsenal are expected to come up short, though. Manchester City will win the Premier League title for a fourth season in a row if they beat West Ham United at the Etihad on Sunday. This is while Arsenal need to beat Everton to put pressure on their rivals.
Mikel Arteta s side have done some great transfer business in recent years as they have closed in on Man City and they are expected to be busy this summer.
One of their priorities will be to sign a n…
Liverpool and Newcastle United have reportedly been dealt a blow as Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford.
Burnley paid around £15m to sign Trafford from Manchester City during the 2023 summer transfer window.
This transfer came about after the 21-year-old shone for Bolton in League One and helped England s U21 side win the European Championships.
Trafford s form for Burnley suggested his debut season in the Premier League came too soon as he made 28 appearances but was usurped by Arijanet Muric during the run-in.
Despite this, Trafford has been included in Gareth Southgate s provisional 33-man England squad and he is a candidate to eventually replace Jordan Pickford as the No.1 for The Three Lions.

Chelsea have made an offer for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after his impressive season in the Championship, according to reports.
The Blues have spent over £1billion since a Todd Boehly-led consortium took over the club in May 2022 with the Premier League side still adjusting to all the change.
But already seem to be one of the most active Premier League clubs in the transfer market with The Athletic journalist David Ornstein now indicating they have taken their interest in Dewsbury-Hall to the next level.
The central midfielder contributed 12 goals and 14 assists in 44 league appearances last term as Leicester won the Championship title and gained promotion back to the Premier League in the process.

De Ligt breakthrough
They re from Bologna and Bild now claim they re close to reaching an agreement for Netherlands star De Ligt.
Asked about his future at Bayern last month, De Ligt said: I’ve already said this is not the time for me to think about it.
We’re playing at the Euros now and that’s very important for me and the national team. That’s why I can’t say now what I think about …
Arsenal could be set to cash in on a key player as they close in on an agreement to sell Eddie Nketiah to Marseille, according to Football Insider.
Marseille are now coached by former Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi and they have had a long standing intertest in Nketiah having also signed Mason Greenwood from Manchester United this summer.
The Gunners have never seen Nketiah as a starting striker and he has struggled for regular game time as a result. Last season, he made just 27 appearances in the Premier League, scoring five goals and registering two assists as Mikel Arteta s side were beaten to the Premier League title by Manchester City on the final day.
According to the report, which says Nketiah may be tempted by the move if, as has been mooted for some tim…
Mikel Arteta has warned Premier League rivals that there s something different about Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus after the Gunners ran out 4-1 winners over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
Jesus managed just eight goals in 36 games across all competitions last term as the Brazilian struggled with injuries but has looked as though he s back to his best after a full pre-season in which he scored against both Manchester United and Leverkusen.
Arteta was hugely impressed by the 27-year-old s performance against the German champions, particularly his link-up play with Kai Havertz.
I think it s something you can see coming, Arteta said of Jesus and Havertz s understanding.
It s natural, it flows, there is good chemistry between them – and as well with Leo [Tros…
