Dybala´s Juventus contract announcement soon – Marotta

A new contract for Paulo Dybala will be announced in a few weeks , according to Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta.

Dybala joined Juve from Palermo on a five-year deal in 2015 and his impressive performances have seen him linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona.

However, Marotta is confident of extending the Argentina international s stay in Turin and expects news on the matter in February.

We re talking with his people, I don t think there will be any problems. The announcement will probably be made in a few weeks, Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

Paulo is happy here and we re glad to have him with us, that s why there s every opportunity to move forward together.

Dybala refused to shake coach Massimiliano Allegri s hand after being substituted in Sunday s 2-0 victory over Sassuolo.

Allegri was unconcerned by the snub, and Marotta felt it was simply a sign of frustration at failing to find the net.

It was a small and insignificant gesture, football is full of these things. We have to look at the whole context – he s an important player and a great professional, he told TMW Radio.

We know his character, he wasn t being disrespectful to the coach, but showing his anger at the fact he couldn t get a goal. These things are very normal in football.
